Workvivo is an employee communications platform made to connect teams, reduce internal emails, and create a culture of peer-to-peer communication. It offers an abundance of features like posting, liking, corporate podcasting, live streaming, shoutouts, and a mobile app. The platform is a combination of an Enterprise Social Network (ESN) and a digital workplace. It also integrates with both Microsoft and Google Workspace, and tools like Slack and Zoom.
Collaboration across departments happens in Common Interest Groups, while their basic analytics provide information on the usage of the platform. Although Workvivo integrates with Google Drive, it doesn’t have an integration with the rest of Google’s collaboration apps. Workvivo's search functionality is a work in progress
According to reviews, searching for information within Workvivo can be a pain point, but their team is working to improve the feature. Searching for content is Happeo’s specialty – our Universal Search is fast and wholesome, as it searches through content in the platform, Gmail, and all files in Google Workspace – including PDFs.
Workvivo doesn't have deep integration with Google Workspace
Workvivo integrates with Google Drive, but it doesn’t integrate with the rest of the Google Workspace toolset. Although Drive is great for content storage, apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides are where collaboration really happens. Happeo’s Google Workspace integration means users can work together on files within Happeo, using Google Workspace’s apps.
Workvivo's analytics could be more robust
Workvivo’s platform analytics report on the platform usage, the devices employees use to access the platform and time of the day they access the platform the most. Happeo goes a step further and provides post-and-page engagement analytics, influencer analytics, and search analytics.
Workvivo doesn't have a place to host static information
Workvivo can display your company’s values, goals, and organizational chart, but it doesn’t have Pages with static information to answer employees’ questions before they even ask them. Pages are the place where your people can read your organizational policies, find the most important files from your team’s Drive or file a ticket and get support. Instead, Workvivo opts for a dynamic activity feed, where users can share content, but leaves them with the challenge of static information getting lost in activity-feed posts.
Cutting through the noise can be a challenge with Workvivo
Workvivo lets you pin posts, but only those marked as Global. This can be inconvenient for Internal Communicators, as cutting through all the posts and making people read what they need them to in specific channels can become a challenge. This wouldn’t be the case with Happeo, as it lets you push news into one or more Channels, and turn important information into Announcements.
