What is the Table of Contents Widget and what is it used for?
The table of contents widget is great for when a Page has lots of content, including multiple subpages. The table of contents allows users to quickly navigate to the correct content and find what they are looking for.
Before creating a table of contents you will first need to check that all headings are correct. The table of contents will be automatically created based on the first, second and third level headers.
This allows you to use a single text widget and have the table of contents jump to the correct location.
Please note that by default, widget headers will not be included in the table of contents, only in-text headings and the headers of text widgets. If you would like to have this changed so that all widget headers will be picked up by the table of contents, please do not hesitate to send a request to our support team. The reason why this feature is only available upon request is that there are users who have built their Pages upon the default functionality principle and if we were to release this function to all users, it will disrupt the former mentioned users’ table of contents.
Moreover, to view the table of contents you will need to switch back to view mode.
You can also create a list of content that shows the list of pages in the Page group by adding a breadcrumb widget to your Page. The widget will display the Pages and subpages which are created within the page group.
