How can multiple domains interact within the same environment?
In Happeo, a company can have multiple domains within the same environment. The domains are separated from each other with different user groups and access. A great example is a company with headquarters in Helsinki, where the main environment is located and operated. The domains are the Happeo platforms for offices located in other countries. While it is important for the company to be able to communicate and share information as a whole, some data only concerns certain offices.
That is why Happeo enables the main environment to communicate with all domains while domains are kept separate from each other. This enables certain information shared within the domain to remain accessible only to that domain and is kept within the organisation.
Although domains can’t fully communicate with each other, the main environment can communicate with all domains and share Pages and Channels with all of them. This allows the admin of the environment to share information displayed in Pages and Channels with the whole organisation at the same time. For instance, a Page created in the main environment can be shared across all other environments, enabling the whole organisation to get access. This way the whole organisation can be notified and informed at the same time.
It is important to note, however, that if trust has been set up between two domains, they will be able to share Pages and Channels amongst each other.
In addition, if a Google group of a domain is linked to the environment, the Admin of the environment has access to the users of the group, but not the domain itself.
